New Outdoor Leisure

Wandon Park has been carefully designed to incorporate large and accessible areas of public green open space, promoting a range of outdoor leisure activities including:

• Informal and formal community sports and play areas for use by local communities along with allotments and parks
• New footpaths will complement existing routes and provide easy access throughout the site, linking residential areas with the school and community centre and out to the surrounding countryside
• Dedicated off road and on road cycling routes will help connect the spaces within the development and provide links to the countryside beyond
• Nationally important footpath, the Chiltern Way, would be protected and improved
• New parks, woodland and hedgerow planting
